TSLA $248.30 1 SHARE
THE PREMISE

start with one share.

The stock already lives on-chain as a token. This is one share of Tesla, at $248.30.

0 shares of TSLA
× 100

an option is only a hundred shares.

One contract is a multiplier of 100 — a claim on a hundred shares, quoted off a hundred shares, and if anyone exercises it, settled in a hundred shares.

ONE TSLA CONTRACT
100 × $248.30 = $24,830
SO IT HAS A PRICE

a hundred shares has a price.
a price is all a curve needs.

Nothing exotic is left to model. The option is just a number, and a bonding curve can quote a coin against a number.

STRUCK, THEN ROLLED

struck at the price. rolled when it leaves.

±8% around spot, 5-day expiries. Break the band or run out the clock and the contract is closed and re-struck at the new price — the peg never rots on a dead, far-out-of-the-money option.

WHY STRIKEPAD

A coin with a reason to hold a price.

Most launchpads quote a coin against nothing. HourGlassPad quotes it against a real, rolling stock option.

Peg to a call or a put

Pick the underlying, pick the side. Every coin tracks one 100-share contract, so the thesis is legible at a glance.

Strikes that roll themselves

Leave the ±8% band or reach the 5-day expiry and the contract is re-struck at spot. The peg never goes stale.

Liquidity you can't pull

Zero team allocation, zero presale. At graduation the position moves to a Uniswap v4 pool and is locked for good.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What does "pegged to an option" actually mean?

The coin's bonding curve is quoted against the price of one option contract — 100 shares times the stock price — rather than against ETH. Buyers pay in the stock token, and the curve fills in the stock token.

What happens when the strike band breaks?

If the underlying moves more than 8% from the strike, or the 5-day expiry runs out, the contract is closed and re-struck at the new spot price.

Who receives the 1,000,000,000 supply?

All of it is struck onto the bonding curve. There is no team allocation and no presale — the creator can only buy on the curve like anyone else, through the optional dev buy.

Which stocks can I peg a coin to?

Calls and puts on 60+ stocks, listed on the board. Pick the underlying, pick the side, then name your coin.
